Wisdom at Work

HIGHLIGHT: “Wise words are like deep waters; wisdom flows from the wise like a bubbling brook.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

EXPLAIN: The "Dad" who is sharing wisdom with his son speaks of what wisdom looks like. They describe the wise words as deep waters . Deep waters are crisp, there is a strong current, and they are always moving forward regardless of what is happening on the top of the waters.

The Dad also says wisdom flows from the wise like a bubbling brook. As the wise speak, the wisdom that fills their heart and life flows naturally and freely with out any effort ~ similar to the natural movement of a bubbling brook.

APPLY: The key is to desire wisdom, which when it is in your life, begins to be a natural part of your life. The wisdom that you live with becomes something that is moving in the back of your mind, helping you to make better decisions and live with fewer regrets.

It is always important to remember that the wisdom of God is never fully for our own self help. When the wisdom you have is part of those deep waters, the. It should naturally flow from your lips in order to help other around you. In fact, wisdom becomes something you seek to share with everyone around you.

RESPONSE: Lord, I desire your wisdom to be at work in my life in such a way that it seems natural, but I also desire to see and take advantage of opportunities to share your wisdom with those around me.
